We sell these aromatherapy car diffuser kits in our Stourbridge shop, and they're very popular!
These aromatherapy car diffusers have a clip so they can be attached to the air vent in your car. They have hinge with a strong magnetic closure so they open up. They open via a tiny slit on the side, and like the pendants inside there is space for a round felt pad. The idea is that you add a drop or two of your favourite essential oil or perhaps one of our essential oil blends to the pad. You can then enjoy natural aromas while you're driving your car, with all the benefits of aromatherapy (essential oils have stimulating, uplifting, de-stressing properties), as the essential oils slowly diffuse through the ventilation holes. We've tested these and the scent of the essential oil blend can last for several days. You then top up more oil to the pad after the oil has completely diffused. so you can vary the fragrance according to how you're feeling, and can really boost your mood or alertness as you are driving.
They are approximately 30mm in diameter, with a plastic clip. They are made from stainless steel to ensure the essential oils do not tarnish or damage the metal. The back is solid and the front has a design that has been laser cut.
Note: that the Chakra design has crystals embedded and is a slightly matt grey pewter colour, the others are shiny silver.
Similar to the aromatherapy pendants, each car diffuser is supplied with 10 assorted colour pads, so this means that you can swap over the colours to remember which essential oils blends have been used (so you do not contaminate your blends by mixing too many essential oils together).
They are supplied in a small brown box.
Many of our customers have told us these car diffusers help them keep their car smelling fresh and depending on which essential oils are used help them stay alert on long journeys.
We'd stress that you should not use sedative essential oils in the car, so avoid oils such as Lavender, Valerian etc.
Make sure that you use essential oils in moderation in the car, since it is an enclosed space. Some to consider are:
Bright uplifting citrus essential oils:
Grapefruit, Lemon, Bitter or Sweet Orange or Lime (not Mandarin or Bergamot since they are slightly sedative).
Strong fresh essential oils, take care to not add too many drops:
Rosemary (but avoid if you have high blood pressure), Peppermint, Eucalyptus
