Our handmade organic hot cloth cleanser is designed to be used with a muslin cloth, to gently remove skin impurities. Supplied in white airless pumps, it is available in 2 sizes: 30ml travel size (lasts up to 4 weeks) and 100ml full size (lasts up to 3-4 months).
Using the finger tips massage a small amount of our hot-cloth cleanser onto the skin. Then rinse a muslin cloth in hand-hot water and wring out so the cloth is warm and moist. Use the cloth to gently remove make-up and skin impurities - this will also lightly exfoliate the skin to leave it feeling refreshed and clean. We recommend using morning and night. Follow with Natroma Hydrolat Toner and Moisturiser or Oil Serum.
Our hot cloth cleanser feels like a heavier cream, straight out of the pump. It can be applied straight onto the skin and the rich texture allows you to massage your face as part of the cleanse. It will remove make up too. using it straight out of the pump is the best way to use the cleanser if you need a deeper cleanse. But if you'd like a lighter skin-feel, no problem! Simply add a few drops of water to the cleanser before application, or rinse your face with water and then apply the cleanser. We designed our cleanser formulation so it emulsifies (mixes) with water, so this means you can customise how it feels on the skin simply by adding more of less water. The way it mixes with water makes it easy to rinse off the face (perhaps if you're cleansing while you're in the shower), but we'd recommend sweeping the muslin cloth over the face to finish, to lightly exfoliate too.
This method of cleansing is far kinder to the skin than facial wipes - which initially seem to be easier to use but actually take just as long. Facial wipes also tend to have quite harsh ingredients and preservatives (because the wipes are supplied damp inside their packets). Hot cloth cleansing on the other hand is much more hygienic and better for the environment, since each cloth can be used once or twice before being laundered and re-used.
Our hot cloth cleansers do not contain any essential oils. They have a mild aroma, that comes from the organic hydrolats within the formulation. Our rose cleanser is slightly sweeter than the orange blossom version, but it is subtle. We recommend cleansing morning and night.
