Our Natroma reed diffusers are made on our behalf, using a vegetable derived reed base, that's alcohol and VOC free so it's non-flammable and as naturally derived as possible. As with all diffusers, the oil has to be engineered so the oil travels up the reeds and can be diffused into the air.
Our Reed Diffuser is supplied in a glass bottle with a reed diffuser cap (it has a hole in the top for the reeds). We suggest that you do not throw the diffuser reed bottle away once it is empty since it will be more environmentally friendly to re-use it again with one of our reed diffuser refills.
Over time you may also find that your reeds become clogged with the oil, so we also sell Replacement Natural Rattan Reeds in packs of 10. Remember that your reed diffuser will work best when you use quality reeds. We recommend that you use 3-5 reeds at a time and that you replace your reeds every 8-12 weeks. Reed diffusers work best in warm(ish) environments with a gentle airflow - they work by wafting the fragrance naturally on a breeze or when you walk past the bottle (rather than by heat, such as when you use a candle). They are less effective in cold or damp environments such as bathrooms since rattan reeds can absorb water vapour. If you find that a diffuser is not diffusing very well, consider moving it to another location or flip/replace your reeds.
Please note that local customers who visit our Natroma shop, can have their reed diffuser bottle refilled in store. This is even better for the environment, since the glass bottle can be refilled over and over.
This listing is for a single Reed Diffuser Refill: a larger 100ml clear glass bottle (no box or reeds) so you can refill your diffuser bottle. There is enough oil to refill one of our standard reed diffuser kits twice.
Choose from the following fragrances:
Pure Essential Oils: these have a softer aroma than our enhanced fragrances
Inspire - We love this gentle but sophisticated aroma, with mandarin, lavender, neroli and rosemary essential oils.
Relax - This is a gentle blend of geranium, lavender, ylang ylang and sweet orange.
Serene - A lovely sweet but slightly musky aroma of ylang ylang, sweet orange, patchouli and neroli.
Uplift - a soft and uplifting aroma of sweet orange, lime, lemon and lemongrass essential oils.
Enhanced Fragrances: these contain a mixture of essential oils and high quality fragrance oils
Lime, Basil, Mandarin - A lovely fresh and fruity aroma with just a hint of basil.
Pomegranate - A deeper musky, fruity aroma, that's very popular!
Rhubarb & Ginger - A lovely rich, sweet aroma that's been so popular in the wax melts, we had to stock it in candles and diffusers!
Rose - Moroccan or Attar - Moroccan Rose has richer rosa damascena fragrance notes, whereas the Attar Rose is softer - both are lovely!
We know customers dislike receiving items with plastic packaging, but please note that we have to wrap these bottles in bubble wrap/plastic bags to ensure they arrive safely in your parcel. This is to comply with Royal Mail requirements when shipping liquids. We do not purchase bubble wrap ourselves, so you will be receiving recycled packaging that we have received from our suppliers.

Rhubarb and ginger refill bottle 26 October 2021 | Juliet
First time I've purchased this brand of refill which I bought with some reeds.
Already had a glass bottle to put this into at home.
I half filled my small bottle and added 4 reeds to see how that worked in a big bedroom.
Was pleasantly surprised to smell the fragrance as soon as I opened the door later that day. A lovely bright fragrance, but not overpowering, sickly or synthetic. Could probably use just 3 reeds for the strength of the oil, all down to individual taste.
I will definitely be buying this again. Love the idea of glass refill bottles as there's no waste.

I have re-ordered several of these re-fill bottles now. Each bottle tops up my diffusers a couple of times so they are excellent value. My favourites are Lime,basil and Mandarin and Pomegranate .

Thank you for your review. We'd like to clarify that our parcels follow the Royal Mail packaging requirements for fragile goods (our refills are supplied in glass bottles) so the box and paper cushioning has to be of a sufficient size to ensure there are no breakages in transit. You did not purchase any reeds from us and these can have an effect on how well the oil is diffused. We'd suggest that diffuser refills are used with fresh reeds in an appropriately sized bottle and are sited in warm(ish) locations with some airflow so the reeds can gently waft the aroma. Reed diffusers are less effective in closed rooms since the air is static. In damp environments such as bath rooms the natural rattan reeds can absorb moisture making them less effective in diffusing the oil. This review was also for an essential oil diffuser and these will always have a softer aroma than our enhanced varieties.

Bought this for the living room - it’s a beautiful scent, not too strong and doesn’t have a ‘fake’ chemical smell like some cheapy ones from the supermarket can have. Highly recommend!
