We're pleased to bring to the Natroma website, some of the back flow incense burners which are so popular in our Stourbridge shop.
If you haven't seen a backflow incense burner in action, we'd advise you to have a look on YouTube. Backflow incense burners are mesmerising!
They are a special type of incense burner that has a hole at the top. You need to use a special type of Backflow Incense Cone that contains fragrance and oil (it makes the smoke heavy). The cones have a hole inside them, and the incense smoke flows down through the cone, instead of wafting into the air. Once the tip of the cone is alight it is placed on top of the backflow incense burner, the smoke cascades down the burner and looks like a waterfall. Backflow incense burners are specially designed so the incense smoke cascades downwards, pouring dramatically for a simply stunning effect. The incense is heavier than air and it falls dramatically in swirls through the holes and crevices in each design until it pools at the bottom. It's hypnotic and so relaxing to watch as the smoke cascades down! Many of our customers find it really helps them to light a backflow cone, and then meditate as they watch the smoke patterns. They tell us that it really helps them to relax at the end of the day.
These backflow incense burners are ceramic, and have a stylish black glazed finish.
Hand & Lotus Flower - 8 x 8 x 10cm
Small Pebbles - 11.5 x 6 x 5cm
Each burner is supplied in a plain brown box with some tissue to provide protection during transit - this is not a decorative gift box.
We'd advise that the burner is cleaned after each use, since the smoke falls because of the oil content and this can leave a slight residue on the shiny surface. A quick wipe over after use, will make sure your backflow incense burner is ready for next time.
