Natroma Q10 Plus Facial Oil Serum - for evening use and drier skin types
Our award winning Q10 Facial Oil Serum has been a long standing customer favourite product. It's won a natural beauty award, and everyone seems to love the way that it softens and refines the texture of the skin. It was originally formulated as an aromatherapy treatment oil, and we use it during our Natroma Aromatherapy Facials. It contains a lovely blend of organic botanical oils and Co-enzyme Q10, that refine the texture of the skin, improving hydration, elasticity and suppleness. We often find that customers are nervous about using oil serums on their face – they think it will make their oily skin feel even worse. But our Q10 Facial Oil Serum was deliberately created using drier botanical oils, so it does not leave an oily residue on the skin.
However, over the years we've noticed that a few customers have been increasing how much oil they use. We usually advise using 1-3 drops per treatment, but some customers were using a little more, particularly at night. Now we could have been pleased by this - since it meant we could sell them more bottles of the Q10 Oil Serum. But that isn't us, and instead we asked customers for more feedback and decided to formulate a new more intensive Q10 Oil Serum for those customers with drier skin. So we're very pleased to launch our new Q10 plus!
Our Natroma Q10 Plus contains luxurious organic macadamia and avocado oils. These lovely oils are deeply penetrating, calming and moisturising and have a richer skin-feel. But we also love the organic oils in the original Q10 Serum, so they're still within the formulation but we've adjusted their balance to better suit a drier skin. Natroma Q10 Plus is supplied in a pipette glass dropper bottle allowing you to dispense the oil onto your fingertips. You’ll only need 1-3 drops of oil for each use, and we’d suggest that the oil is warmed on the fingertips before gently smoothing onto the face with light massaging strokes. This is a richer formulation, so it may take a minute or so for the oil to penetrate the skin but it still leaves a soft, velvety feeling afterwards. If you find the skin feels very oily after use, you’ve used too much – as with all Natroma products, they are highly concentrated so try using fewer drops next time.
Natroma Q10 Plus Facial Oil Serum is a lovely aromatherapy alternative to a night cream, or as a pre-treatment before applying your moisturiser. We package the serum in a glass dropper bottle so you can use as much or a little as you need – maybe just 1 drop during the summer, increasing to 2-3 drops during the winter months and 2-3 drops at night when the skin needs more hydration. Our Q10 Oil Serums allow you to customise your skincare regime to suit the changing seasons and your personal requirements. We use cold pressed organic botanical oils and Q10 Plus contains oils that do have a natural slightly earthy aroma, so we’ve added some luxurious aromatherapy grade essential oils of Rose, Neroli, Jasmine, Sandalwood and Frankincense to the Q10 Plus.
Available in a 10ml amber glass pipette bottle with a gold topped pipette or in a mini 3ml trial sized glass pipette bottle. Currently supplied with a silver topped pipette.
We'd suggest that organic oils like our Q10 Facial Oil Serums are stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
We know customers dislike receiving items with plastic packaging, but please note that we have to wrap these bottles in bubble wrap/plastic bags to ensure they arrive safely in your parcel. This is to comply with Royal Mail requirements when shipping liquids. We do not purchase bubble wrap ourselves, so you will be receiving recycled packaging that we have received from our suppliers.
Natroma Q10 Plus Facial Oil - listening to customer feedback:
At Natroma we are lucky to be blessed with many loyal customers who have been using our products for years. So we approached a few of them who were already using the Q10 Oil Serum, and asked if they'd be willing to road test our new facial oil (after we'd finalised the new formulation and tested it on ourselves and family first!) We had a lovely group of customers come forward for our product panel, and we made sure there was a complete range of skin types and ages ranging from mid 30's to mid 70's. They were asked to assess the new version of the Q10 Facial Oil over a period of 2-3 months, giving regular feedback and ratings on how their skin felt (changes to texture, softness, dry patches, wrinkles, if there were any issues etc), the amount they were using, how the oil felt when it was applied, packaging, fragrance, impact on other products they were using etc. We would like to thank them for their helpful and comprehensive feedback, which has supported us in road testing this new product.
We were delighted (and a little surprised) to find that the new oil was liked by all age groups. Even younger testers with oilier skin, felt the new version was a useful addition to their skincare regime, using it as a night treatment or on days when their skin had dry patches. Drier skin types used it during the day, often under our Q10 moisturisers and were impressed that the richer oil sank in quicker than expected to give longer lasting hydration. We could write a very long piece about this, but instead have added some of the tester comments to the reviews section on this page. We hope you read their reviews and that it helps you decide if you'd like to try the Q10 Plus Oil Serum for yourself.
Natroma Q10 Plus is a concentrated organic facial oil containing many naturally active botanical skincare ingredients, carefully blended and balanced to suit all skin types. The majority of the botanical oils in this formulation are certified organic, and are cold pressed oils:
Macadamia Oil - a lovely deeply penetrating oil that's similar to skin's natural sebum, so it balances oil production but is full of essential fatty acids that provide long lasting moisture and softness by helping the skin to maintain hydration. It also contains phytosterols that calm the skin and reduce inflammation. We love the way this oil supports many different skin types, helping with scarring, to improve the appearance of dry skin and to help to balance the skin perhaps when hormonal issues are causing break outs.
Rosehip seed oil - rich in Vitamin A and Omega 3, research has shown that rosehip oil is beneficial for reducing he appearance of scars and improving skin texture. We use an organic, cold pressed oil to reduce the appearance of pores and refine the skin's appearance.
Argan oil - one of our favourite organic oils, high in essential fatty acids with a proven track record in maintaining lasting skin hydration.
Borage oil - an organic oil that's higher in GLA than evening primrose oil, so this helps to prevent dry skin.
Jojoba oil - another organic oil that's very similar to the skin's natural sebum. We love the way jojoba balances all skin types, refines the pores and provides lasting hydration without feeling oily.
Avocado oil - a lovely deeply moisturising oil that's full of vitamins and omega 3 fatty acids, that reduces skin inflammation and is particularly suited to dry, dehydrated skin. Avocado oil is known to penetrate the skin more deeply than some other oils, helping to smooth, soften and maintain skin hydration.
Co-Enzyme Q10 - this is an important antioxidant, which naturally occurs in all cells. Research shows that it helps to improve the texture of the skin, and can smooth the appearance of fine lines.
Kiwi seed oil - a unique oil which contains a very high level of omega 3 fatty acids and other nutrients. Research has shown that this oil improves skin texture and also protects against moisture loss.
Raspberry seed oil - a gently moisturising oil that is being increasingly used in natural skincare products, after research showed it offered a slight natural sun protection.
Watermelon seed oil - has a gentle, moisturising action, to increase skin hydration.
Arctic Cranberry Seed extract - a potent botanical extract that contains essential fatty acids that offer the skin extra moisture and nourishment.
Calendula extract - another potent botanical extract, well known for it's skin-calming properties for sensitive skin.
Squalane - we use a vegetable based version, derived from olive oil. Squalane is moisturising and also assists in the absorption of the oil serum into the skin.
Vitamin E - for it's hydrating and anti-oxidant properties.
With the luxurious beautiful aroma of Rose, Jasmine, Neroli, Sandalwood and Frankincense essential oils.
This serum contains no synthetic preservatives, and is protected with Rosemary Antioxidant.
