We're delighted to introduce a new range of Natroma candles!

We're having these made for us (we're too busy making our skincare to venture into candle making!), and contain only natural plant waxes - a blend of soy with a little rapeseed oil.  They do not contain palm oil and are a plant based alternative to the petroleum derived paraffin wax candles.  They are free from any animal derived ingredients or beeswax making them vegan friendly.  They are clean burning, additive free and are not tested on animals. Our natural soy wax candles available in 2 sizes (votive and larger glass candles).  This listing is for the smaller votive sized candle, packaged in a smaller recycled glass jar.

Natroma Votive Soy Wax Candles

Each candle has been poured by hand, and contains a cotton wick with a paper core.  Because they made with soy wax, they are very long lasting.  They are uncoloured candles without any additives.  We have selected 12 fragrances for customers to try.  There are 6 pure essential oil candles and 6 with a blend of essential oils enhanced with fragrance oils.

Our natural soy wax votive candles are smaller in size, but will burn for approximately 25-30 hours.  As with all natural wax candles, soy wax can pull away from glass containers (it's known as wet spots in the candle industry) and there may be some surface frosting or layers of wax where the container was topped up during manufacture.  These variations in appearance are perfectly normal and have no impact on how the candle will burn.  Between uses, remember to trim the candle wick to approximately 1/4 inch.  If a candle smokes or burns very quickly or unevenly it's usually because the wick is too long.

Please remember that pure essential oil candles will not smell as strongly as the candles that contain fragrance oils.  Instead they have a nature, more subtle aroma which is just lovely!  Also bear in mind that to fill a large space with aroma you would need several candles - it would be optimistic to use just a single votive candle in a large room.  If you require a stronger aroma, either light more than one candle at a time or use one of the LED ultrasonic diffusers.

Our natural soy candles are supplied in recycled glass containers, packaged in recycled cardboard boxes and each box is decorated with a ribbon.

We are also offering the option to purchase a polished steel lid with our candles - these are available in 2 sizes.  We have decided not to add these automatically, since it would increase the cost of each candle and may force customers into purchasing something they may not need.  Our view is that you'll only need so many covers to keep the dust out of the candles you're using, so you can simply purchase as many as you need and then re-use them.  It's much better for the environment too!

This has a lovely herbaceous aroma of lavender essential oil.

A soft aroma of lavender with geranium and sweet orange.

A lovely sweet but slightly musky aroma of ylang ylang, sweet orange, patchouli and neroli.

A fresh, uplifting aroma of sweet orange, lime, lemon and lemongrass essential oils.
