Our Natroma reed diffusers are made using a vegetable derived reed base, that's alcohol and VOC free so it's non-flammable.  Our 50ml Reed Diffuser Kits use recycled glass bottles with a black cap, supplied with 10 natural rattan reeds. Our reed diffusers are made on our behalf, using a more natural alternative to alcohol based reed diffusers and there's a choice of fragrances. We have pure essential oil (aromatherapy) varieties and enhanced blends which contain essential oils boosted with fine quality fragrances. The essential oil varieties have a softer aroma than the enhanced reed diffusers. Each reed diffuser kit is supplied in a recycled card gift box, decorated with a coloured ribbon. To use, simply insert 3-4 reeds into the bottle and allow them to draw up the fragrance and scent the room.

You can achieve a stronger aroma if you use more reeds at a time, but remember the natural rattan reeds will draw up the oil more quickly.  We think 3 reeds is enough for a small to average sized room, but we supply 10 natural rattan reeds in each kit.  Reed diffusers are designed to gently waft fragrance around (so are less obvious than a candle that disperses fragrance with heat), so they work most effectively in areas where there is a gentle air flow.  Also consider the heat in the room, since the reed oil will be dispersed more quickly if the diffuser is sitting in a warm or sunny spot - it will smell lovely but will last for a shorter amount of time.  Please remember that rattan reed diffusers cannot be completely natural (the base oil has to be engineered, so it is thin enough to diffuse through the reeds).  So if you are looking for a completely natural method of diffusing essential oils or need to fragrance larger rooms, we would recommend using one of our LED Ultrasonic Diffusers.

Our Natroma reed diffusers do not contain animal derived ingredients, so are vegan friendly.  Please remember that like any reed diffuser product these contain potent fragrance ingredients, so you will find safety warnings on the packaging.  You can read more about how reed diffusers work in our blog article:  Labelling of home fragrance products.  Remember to wash your hands if you flip your reeds and mop up any spills immediately since essential oils and fragranced oils can cause skin allergies and will damage polished and natural surfaces.  

We suggest that you do not throw your diffuser reed bottle away once it's empty, since it's more environmentally friendly to re-use it again.  We now have Natroma Reed Diffuser Refills available in a 100ml glass bottle, so you can top up your reed diffuser bottle. These contain sufficient reed oil to re-fill your diffuser bottle twice so is more cost effective than buying new reed diffuser kits.  Over time you will find that your natural rattan reeds become clogged with the oil, so we also sell Replacement Natural Rattan Reeds in packs of 10.   If you notice that the level of reed diffuser oil is not reducing in the bottle and the room aroma has become more subtle, it's because your reeds are becoming clogged.  So replace your natural rattan reeds periodically (they are biodegradable), to maintain the fragrance in your room.

A lovely rose aroma with soft sweet fragrance notes.  These are an enhanced product (due to the very high cost of rose essential oil) but we have chosen them since they smell so similar to natural roses. We offer 2 rose options:  Attar has a softer light fragrance, whereas the Moroccan is richer with traditional damascene rose fragrance notes.  Both are lovely!
