Handmade Fused Glass Sun Catcher - Flowers & Meadow
These circular fused glass sun catchers make lovely gifts. They are hand cut from art glass, and are decorated with small pieces of transparent and opaque glass to represent flowers, grasses and leaves. Some include hand painted glass enamels.
For this page, these sun catchers have been photographed against a white background with overhead lights, but the glass colours will vary on different computer screens. Each sun catcher will look brighter once it is hung in sunlight in a window, and the camera cannot capture the way that transparent fused glass glistens in sunlight.
Each sun catcher is a genuine 'one off, and because they are hand made / painted and each design is constructed by hand. A nylon hanging thread has been threaded through the top of each sun catcher, and this has been threaded with faceted glass beads. These suncatchers have been fused in a kiln to create a soft, rippled texture on the glass so they glisten in sunlight and also feel very tactile!

Natroma Fused Glass Designs are handmade by Sarah (Natroma's Founder). I enjoy being creative, and our Natroma products are hand made because I enjoy working with my hands. I originally began glass fusing in 2016 because I wanted to make unique glass soap dishes for my soaps. I've developed my experience and knowledge of working with glass in the kiln and now make a wider variety of fused glass items. I love the way fused glass sparkles and glistens when it's displayed in sunlight in the Natroma shop. My inspiration comes from holistic imagery and the natural beauty in my garden and local countryside.
I use a variety of transparent and opaque glass to create my designs, and they look beautiful when hung in a bright window. I design each piece and cut my selected glass by hand. Sometimes I paint the glass with glass enamels, before adding more glass to add texture. Each design is fired in a kiln for up to 24 hours reaching temperatures of up to 800OC, and I carefully control the firing process so the glass melts and forms a texture before it is slowly cooled. The final glass pieces are polished and the shiny glass surface is tactile, so you can run your fingers across the surface and feel the shape of the flowers and vegetation. Each fused glass piece is finished by hand, and is threaded onto a strong nylon thread with faceted glass beads. I hope you enjoy owning these unique hand made fused glass sun catchers or perhaps gifting them, as much as I enjoyed creating them.
