Wooden ladder soap dish. These are made from hemu wood , a sustainable wood obtained from the guger tree in India.
We recommend that everyone buys one of these, since they help natural handmade soaps to dry out between uses which makes them last for longer. The design allows air to flow around the natural soap and there's no chance for the soap to sit in water. When our handmade goats milk soaps sit on a soap dish of this style, we find that the soap quickly dries out and shrinks naturally as its used. This means that you can use the goats milk soap right down to the last thin slither, so in the long run the soap dish saves you money.
These soap dishes are inexpensive items, and like any wood product will change colour with use. If they are allowed to get wet, the wood will darken with permanent dis-colouration. They are made by hand so are slightly rustic, some may have minor blemishes which have no impact on their use.
